Please the Swede Favourites Wearing Boxers

Fredrik Schiller (Johan Rheborg), Solsidan (2010)

Fredrik Schiller, or “Fredde” as all Swedes refer to him as, would never ever wear slim boxers. He is a successful an opinionated financier. However, it is not because of his success that the Swedes hold him dear but rather his pseudoscientific theories about every possible, often relationship-related, problem. Please the Swede are united in what we love most about Fredde - his deep love for his wife Mickan. She would never accept him wearing slim boxers.

Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) and Gordon Gecko (Michael Douglas), Wall Street (1987)

Wall Street the movie was released, partially, to portrait bankers as villains and scare the public away from Wall Street Jobs. The result turned out to be the exact opposite since banking jobs became even more popular. I mean, who wouldn’t want to find themselves in a five meters high ceiling Manhattan office; dressed in a perfect suit and red braces, yelling that ”lunch is for wimps” when another big shot wants to have lunch? Well, probably not everyone - but it sure is a spectacular movie in many ways.

The young broker Bud Fox, Charlie Sheen, strives to be like his mentor, the king of quotes: Gordon Gecko. He succeeds at first, but it costs him dearly as he is deceived by Gordon. However, at the end he finishes the movie as an honourable man. Unfortunately they do not show that much underwear, but when they do - what kind do you think these financiers wear?

”Wake up pal, put your boxers on and get to work!”

- Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Mad Men (2007)

Throughout this extraordinary series a LOT of underwear is shown. Some good; others not so good. Rocking traditional boxers as he seduces women all around the U.S, Don Draper is the epitome of masculinity. We don't endorse his philandering, but we do salute his classy choice of underwear.

- Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Entourage (2004)

When the legendary Turtle goes to school in season six, a group of beautiful sorority girls break into the Entourage's home. In episode nine of the same season, the smoking hot Jana Kramer makes it clear that "he prefers boxers to briefs". No wonder she wanted him!

- Jordan Belfort (Leonardo Di Caprio), Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

In Wolf of Wall Street, Naomi (Margot Robbie) wakes up Jordan with a splash of water. In this morning fight scene, apart from enjoying Naomi's spectacularly hot pronunciation of "Helicopter", we see the controversial financier's pick of underwear. Can you guess? Yes, he's wearing boxers, and absolutely nails the look.

- Alex Moran (Darin Brooks), Blue Mountain State (2010)

Throughout this comedy series, we follow the footballer Alex Moran's conquering of the fictional university Blue Mountain State. We see his VERY traditional boxers in almost every episode. Salute!

 - Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestly), Beverly Hills (1990)

Admittedly, Priestly's character is not the ideal "PTS character". We do, however, love his attitude towards underwear. "Boxers symbolize freedom and freedom is what people come to America for".
